In about 10 minutes I'm leaving for BSB.

I'm starting to doubt my after-work-life there.

See, I couldn't hang with my friends till 1 or 2 in the morning because who will be there to open the door for me?
Couldn't possibly ask my cousins to give me their house key right?

Moreover I've got work in the morning.

So...planning ahead.

I've prepared novels, headset, recharge cards...to keep be from boredom. :)

I'm still damning if I don't get to go see surgeries!!!

I'm supposed to drive my maid & my sister to piano later @ X-12, dropping my mom to PARTY at Swiss first & drive them back KB town and I meet up my friends after piano.

Was with Van the whole day because she's flying back Canada tomorrow.

Shopping mostly, giggling, almost got into an accident on the highway because the bloody car overtaking come straight towards us & we braked the whole car. I felt my adrenaline rush man!

I dunno whether I'll have internet access for the following week.

Going up BSB tomorrow morning. Will be back on the 6th if I don't appear here any soon.

My aunt told me there will be a BBQ over my cousin's place I'm staying tomorrow.

JOB WORKSHOP @ SMSA, KB 25.11.2008

I was early in school driven by Rachel, walking the whole building searching for my tutor to return my textbooks on heels, my feet all swollen today, but I didn't find him in the end. Grr...

Smart also my kawans punya dress code, I guess I'll be seeing them like that in the future.

First, we were given a TAJMA Personality Profile, a questionnaire consisting of 83 questions where you tick A/B/C for Very True, True, Not True respectively according to your first instincts.

Questions like Will never use my power for personal gain, Like to see myself as someone successful, Often help people with their personal problems etc.

Then we were to calculate the scores and plot a graph to analyse our personalities.

Mrs.Yapp called me the extrovert, the social social punya, interested in doing whatever with people.
And I scored, 9.9/10 for KETERBUKAAN(mudah bergaul, selesa berinteraksi, periang).
Woah~ I'm not sure about that, explain later.

Three things important to note applying for Brunei jobs:

MUST have a passport sized photo attached, no photo terus koyak your CV.
Try make it only 2 pages maximum.
Certified IT skills.

Then comes our principal giving a short speech.

He said something making me worried. About global financial crisis.

In Brunei, it's still peaceful, but elsewhere, hundreds and thousands of professionals jobless. How can YOU compete with them in applying jobs if you're not good enough?

Not only qualifications are important, your personality and skills decides whether you're hired or not.

There are blocks everywhere now, controlling the flow of knowledge and people. Macam certain countries don't employ engineers but doctors, some places needs accountants but don't hire anymore lawyers, hence there is a global flow of people around to be evenly distributed.

Dressing Code

I picked up a few important points only:

Don't wear so bunga bunga, banyak pattern.
Tie your hair, look tidy & smart.
Don't wear too casual macam ke shopping kali ah.
No bling blings on you.
No fabrics/satin, that's only for night.

Negotiations

We were divided into 3 groups. Doctors, nurses & ambulance drivers fighting for $100,000 to buy cardiology machine, ambulance or a resting room for nurses. Learned something.

You have to ask opinions from the passive people and not be the bulldozer that keeps shooting opinions on and on.
Learn how to satisfy everyone, after all you still have to work with them no matter how ugly it ends, so give everyone their share of something.

Types of people

We were asked to act, different positions in the office and here's the roles:

Gavin: the gatal boss
Sylvia: Whiner
Raymond: Jealous Cow
Kar Yee/Zila: Diva
Seng Yee: Baby
Siti: EMO
Minna: Secretary

Here's the part which left me thinking & thinking whether I'm the social people or not.

I don't like these people.

I'm not the kind to say NO, like ask people to stop bugging me in their faces, offend them for their ridiculous acts, I try to sabar.

Gatal Boss who hits on every female possible. The bastard made the roleplay like a foreplay which left me really speechless!

HENCE, gotta start working on how to fight flirts because I got a problem. What if your boss looks like this:

Oh no!!! Morality is totally forgotten.

Bottom line, office relationships are not encouraged. The boss calls the stop always.

Jealous Cow. Rachel & I agree, that these kind of people we fear MOST. They can do anything to get to you.

There's a case mentioned that staffs in bank SHOULD NOT touch money. In this X bank, the employee got a Best Worker award kah or what, then the employer one day, ask him to just pass the money on the table to him. Then, the employee got fired.

After months of joining Nuffnang, I earned RM12 currently. I need at least RM50 in order for them to send me the cheque to cash my money out. Based on what they call PPM? or something, counts per click on adverts. I did a product review which I was supposed to receive a product because I didn't feel safe with transfers of money online, I never use credit cards to purchase anything besides AirAsia tickets!

Rano said, the advertisements on his blog costs...B$300 for one? Macam RM600 per banner OMG, count how many he has in his. Thousand dollars income! He said you must keep people reading your blog, remain your traffic. Blog with an objective, have target readers. He too said that he'll be switching his blog url next year. Should his fans write petition call him not to? lol

Alin was talking about blogging consistently, which means 1-2 times a day?
Now you know why I blog almost everyday. LOL. I was given a www.kurapak.com T-shirt for asking a question!

Reeda was explaining something about IT, quite interesting. I just knew he's a nuffnanger too! He said Nuffnang wouldn't fit the economy of Brunei because the population here, the bloggers here, aint as much as in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and recently, Nuffnang set up a new base in Melbourne, Australia.

So people like Xiaxue, Dawn Yang have thousand dollars income monthly through blogging eh? Along with it comes FAME. People know you everywhere you go.

Along with FAME comes CRITICS. Rano said he gets demotivated by the critics at first, but they forced him to become stronger. Become IMMUNE to attacks already. The best is to FILTER them, prevent it from becoming a snowball roll. I mentioned that once here didn't I?

Stella asked about the extent of blogging rights. They said, you have to be responsible for your words. Dr.Zul said. Mrs.Yapp from SMSA said. EVERYONE says it.

You wanna put up a controversial topics, be careful if it offended someone, you don't answer with "it's my blog I wanna speak whatever I want". Considering it is UP THE NET, you are expose to different people with different opinions. Read their feedbacks. Manage your anger and watch your language. You will regret/worry posting them when you're calm, by that time it's too late. People who shouldn't be reading it, already did.

Otherwise throw your tantrums in a private blog where you swear/curse/cry out loud all you want and nobody could see it. I have one. Surprised? :)

ASIAN FANATICS:

Third place in One Million Stars Third Class(星光 3), Ivy Lee Tzu Ning 黎础宁 committed suicide last night. She was taken to China Medical University Hospital to be rescued, unsuccessfully, and passed away.

Last night, Ivy Lee Tzu Ning was in Taichung, at the corner of Shi Shi Road and Dong Fu Road. There she was in a car where she committed suicide by exposing herself to high levels of carbon monoxide. When she was discovered she was taken to the hospital, but it was already too late. The police are doing further investigations.

Ivy Lee Tzu Ning has been known for her soul music and her deep, thick vocals, making her a special individual. In Shing Guang Third Class she was favoured and many thought her talents would be able to take her to great heights. She has admitted before that she was previously in a relationship with a major league baseball player. Even when he returned to the United States, they have always stayed in contact.

When the news got out, Ivy’s blog was already filled with many fans.

Have you ever doubt fairy tales?

No right? It remains at it is of how we were told of them when we're young.

We were educated that Sleeping Beauty is put to sleep by an evil witch and the prince broke the spell by kissing her.

We know that Snow White was poisoned by her evil step mother who is jealous and again, kissed by a prince who revives her.

Then the famous Cinderella, who dropped her glass shoe at 12AM, the prince search for her and brought her to live happily ever after.

Today, let me analyze:

Sleeping Beauty

How can she sleep so long without food & drink?
At least, she needs this injection bottle to keep her alive till the prince come right?

There, much more sensible.

How does the prince know he has to kiss her by waking her up?
He gatal la of course.

Snow White

I thought traditional values say a woman shouldn't be under one roof with men?
This lady's been under one roof with 7.

The prince that kissed Sleeping Beauty must have been the same one that kissed Snow White! Other wise he's a copycat.

Cinderella

She must have purposely left the shoe so the prince could track her down!
Or else why do you think she went to the ball in the first place?

Point of this post:

We used to think the ways & thoughts we hold on to are the rightful ones because that's how we're shaped by our parents and environment to believe in.

People argue because they insist they're right.

There come to a time when you realise what you used to think/do is actually wrong.

What your parents taught you or they themselves do might be inappropriate.

You change, for the better.

Houses for Rent?

There has been some issues between the neighbours and landlord that trigger my parents to FINALLY decide shifting accommodation. Anyone has any info tell me yeah? ASAP.

This morning, I went for an hour+ counseling session with Mdm.Yapp.

I cried under my blanket late nights.

I cried whenever situations force me to think about it.

I cried, again, today first time speaking about it to someone.
Feeling very useless.

I used to think I could accept everything because I was born to face them. Recently, it nearly defeated me because I could no longer stand it haunting me during my A-levels.

Like Mdm. Imelda said, only those who has been through hell knows what's it like, hence only I myself could figure out how to work things out.
No one could help.

I see light.

I wanted a guide.
And I got it today.

For now, I am going to concentrate on my remaining exams & pray it doesn't keep haunting me.

I shall not quit till the day everything turns better.

Don't worry...you will never get to see this side of me in person.

I don't want to appear troubled in front of people I love♥.

railway track

There is a total of 219 messages in my hotmail inbox and this is one I haven't deleted till now. It's something to me.

A group of children were playing near two railway tracks, one still in use while the other disused. Only one child played on the disused track, the rest on the operational track.

The train is coming, and you are just beside the track interchange.

You can make the train change its course to the disused track and save most of the kids.
However, that would also mean the lone child playing by the disused track would be sacrificed.
Or would you rather let the train go its way?

Let's take a pause to think what kind of decision we could make...

Most people might choose to divert the course of the train, and sacrifice only one child. You might think the same way, I guess. Exactly, to save most of the children at the expense of only one child was rational decision most people would make, morally and emotionally.

But, have you ever thought that the child choosing to play on the disused track had in fact made the right decision to play at a safe place?

Nevertheless, he had to be sacrificed because of his ignorant friends who chose to play where the danger was.

This kind of dilemma happens around us everyday.
In the office, community, in politics and especially in a democratic society, the minority is often sacrificed for the interest of the majority, no matter how foolish or ignorant the majority are, and how farsighted and knowledgeable the minority are. The child who chose not to play with the rest on the operational track was sidelined. And in the case he was sacrificed, no one would shed a tear for him.

The great critic Leo Velski Julian who told the story said he would not try to change the course of the train because he believed that the kids playing on the operational track should have known very well that track was still in use, and that they should have run away if they heard the train's sirens.

If the train was diverted, that lone child would definitely die because he never thought the train could come over to that track!

Moreover, that track was not in use probably because it was not safe. If the train was diverted to the track, we could put the lives of all passengers on board at stake!

And in your attempt to save a few kids by sacrificing one child, you might end up sacrificing hundreds of people to save these few kids.

While we are all aware that life is full of tough decisions that need to be made, we may not realize that hasty decisions may not always be the right one.

Remember that what's right isn't always popular & what's popular isn't always right.

Everybody makes mistakes; that's why they put erasers on pencils.

I think Mdm.Imelda has superpowers. Seriously.
One of her power is the ability to follow young people's trends and thoughts. Macam everyone's naked in front of her, she can see everything.

I attended one of the life-after-smsa talk she gave before the exams, it's the first time I hear her lecturing(actually the very first was when I enter SMSA she gave a talk which I barely remember now), I find her SUPER convincing and speaks sarcasm as second language. HAHA.

There's a copyscape in her blog so I dare not copy the paragraphs here but I tell you, you gotta check out her classic phrases. SO deeply reflecting youths of our age. :)

I was basically watching series all day yesterday after the exams. Stress wa.

Today gonna do lotsa Chem A2 &Physics P5. I managed to match my sister's violin playing today! :) Next week I gotta play a duet with a pretty & skilled young pianist, omg, I need to spare my study time to practise. I need superpowers!

Today I was confirmed not pregnant, get what I mean? :D

Actually I typed a damn long post here on relationship♥ but...don't want further Q&As, had enough of them these days for exams.

Been thinking about a course for uni lately.

These career things are never important to me, I don't have an ambition like Obama did when he was young, and he worked towards & succeeded.

But I do have a dream

Since when I forgot.

I hardly mention to people because it's normally easy to say but I don't know whether I have the ability to achieve or not.

That's when they care to ask about my dream.

Miss me?
I did not disappear on purpose, my computer went into hospital.
I could live without a computer but not a SLOW computer.

Problem seems to be from my rosak RAM? Mom spent $100+ making it to 1 GB, which is fast now. My Windows Live is Beta version which is so weird. I have to download everything all over again.

Those who reads often see me throwing foul languages and frustrations here always when I suck in papers.

Believe it or not, today I'm too tired to even be angry of myself.

I did terribly for my Chemistry P2.

Was rather confident in conquering Chem A yesterday night studying smoothly.

It totally broke my heart.

I never suck so bad for a theory paper, never.

It made me feel worse when everyone claimed they answered correctly and the paper was easy. These words are sharp.

I have P1, p4 left to deal with Chem, do you think there's hope? It's like being in McCain's position watching the polls coming out today.

In his concession speech, which I watched LIVE, when he said it is me who failed, not you. Okay, today I find Sarah Palin decent, and his husband resembles JT HAHAHA.

I've been in front of CNN & BBC since yesterday.

I witnessed the countdown for the last few states to close their polls.

I jumped up and post my status on facebook when the electoral votes reached 273.

A landslide vote of 349 against 162.

I knew, a change is about to be brought to this world.

Too I watched him made his speech during the last rallies in Virginia:

It's the nth time I heard from people already lol.

It's a HABIT la, been blogging for the past 4 years & it doesn't take me much time to spill things here.

Except when I'm free, I find info and blog something worth reading by people.
When I'm busy, the posts are all about me & my frustrations.

I feel like Peyton Sawyer in One Tree Hill !

I don't mean as pretty as her la, I meant her character INSIDE.

In season 4, there's a psycho Derek who appears as Peyton's brother, who is able to give every detail of her because she puts up her podcasts on the net, basically anyone could hear it and understand what's on her mind, her thoughts, her feelings, her life.

Similarly, if a stranger is following my blog every time, he knows everything about me regardless I know him or not. This is a bit freaky.
